Repent and Believe in the Gospel

The very beginning of the Gospel of Mark brings two verbs that are present throughout the whole ministry of Jesus - the calling to convert and believe in the Gospel. Without conversion, we cannot be open to God's grace and salvation.
Conversion is the great need of our souls. Conversion is facing again the mercy of God and walking towards his love, redemption, and glorious salvation. Repent!
Change your wrong ways and come to Him. Only in Jesus, there is salvation. He is ready to embrace you and welcomes you into his heart.
The second exhortation is to believe in the Gospel. Only by knowing the gospel of the Lord can we know, love, and serve Jesus. Only by knowing his gospel can we hear his message and walk in the path of conversion and redemption.
Only in Jesus, there are Words of eternal life. His Word is real life for us. Now the question is how many hours or minutes do you spend with the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ every day? Every week? Do you really know the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ?
We need to take our Christian commitment more seriously and set our eyes on the Lord Jesus, coming closer to him and listening to him attentively. Don’t waste your time, don’t waste your life, receive the grace of God, and be saved!
We as Catholics need to grow in the knowledge of the Word of God. Every day we have to commit part of our day, at least a small part, to read the Word in order to nourish our spirit. One of the greatest needs we have in our Church is to develop a better and truly permanent spiritual formation, and today we have no excuses -- there are many tools at hand. What spiritual books are you reading? What catholic web pages do you visit to feed your soul? Do you listen to the Catholic radio station in this area? Do you follow our masses on our YouTube Channel (Fr Javo Diaz)? Have you participated in the bible training workshop that our Deacon Somma is offering periodically?
I invite you to go further in nourishing your soul: be a spiritual seeker, be
thirsty for Jesus and for the knowledge of his message and mystery. Only if you know the gospel can you believe in it, and then you will love and serve Jesus, and you will be saved.
May the Holy Spirit give you wisdom and enlighten you with the knowledge of the gospel. May the Lord and the Blessed Mother bless you.
