Dear Lord, Our Risen Jesus Christ, our hearts and spirits adore you during this time in which we proclaim and celebrate Your triumphal resurrection and victory over sin and death. In this troubled time with total confidence that You are with us, holding our hands and embracing our lives, we hope to participate in Your victory and to taste now a reflection of your light conquering this pandemic.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, as we walk on this path of uncertainty andsorrow in the depths of this war against a very aggressive virus, let us raise our eyes and contemplate the victory of Christ who has conquered the world. There is no greater power than His! No illness, no pandemic can defeat the manifestation of the Glory of God. We need to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ which fills our hearts with the hope that we will also be risen and victorious with Him, and we will be together as a community celebrating our faith soon.
As your pastor I am with you in this fight and urge you not to dismay in your spiritual journey but increase your life of prayer, and place your needs and the needs of all humanity in the mercy of the Risen Lord. I promise to pray for you each day.
Now that we have entered into Easter 2020, let us continue to practice personal prayer and especially generosity to the poor. This time has been devastating for many families in our parish and in the whole world. Since we cannot approach sacramental confession, seek reconciliation through examination of conscience and acts of contrition and piety. Remember, you can be with your parish celebrating with us through the Internet. I thank the Lord that at least we can communicate and share our prayers and masses on our channel on YouTube "FR Javo Díaz." Please register on this channel and frequently visit our website "cklb.org".
Let us be together trusting our Blessed Mother to help us as we recite this short prayer used by Christians in troubled times since the third century: We fly to your protection, O Holy Mother of God; despise not our petitions in our hour of need, but deliver us always from all dangers, O glorious and Blessed Virgin Mary. Amen
May the Lord bless us all with his risen power.
