We are emerging from a period of time without recent precedents as the Pandemic attacked the entire
world. We are also concerned about the senseless and unjust war against Ukraine. Every moment of history brings its own challenges and worries and we must stand up in faith. As real Christians we keep in our minds those who suffer, and we hear the call to do as much as we can in solidarity and mercy for them.

In all circumstances we are people of faith. We cannot ever lose hope. “If you are with us Lord, who could
be against us?” (Rom 8,31) Yes, He is with us. Have faith and rest assured that the great time of Joy is here; so, let us celebrate together the power of Salvation because He comes to visit us with his Salvation. We rejoice with all of creation and sing glory with the angels for the miracle of Christmas.

How will you celebrate the presence of God in your life and in your family? Rejoice with your family and sing with heaven and earth, and never forget those in need. Jesus was born as a baby in great need. So Jesus is present as a newborn in those who need you. Be merciful and share with others the joy and hope of Christmas. In helping them you are embracing Jesus at the manger as Mary and Joseph did.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (Jn 1:14) During this time of Christmas Fr. Fernando, Fr. Edmilson and I pray for you, and wish you a peaceful, loving and holy Christmas with your beloved family and friends.
