God Bless America and Bring Peace Among Us

We won't ever forget! The United State of America is still hurt and will continue to be hurt while we have strong signs of violence and hatred among us. It is time for peace, it is time to be together and to commit ourselves as "one" community who loves this country and will do anything in our power to build a peaceful Nation where we will all enjoy freedom and safety.

As we remember 9/11, I would like all of us to pray and to commit to working together to build peace for the United States of America and for the whole world.

Let us be together with the prayer Pope Francis raised to God during his visit to the 9/11 Memorial: "God of love, compassion and healing look on us, people of many different faiths and

religious traditions, who gather today in this hallowed ground, the scene of unspeakable violence and pain, we ask you in your goodness to give eternal light and peace to all who died here: the

heroic first responders: our firefighters, police officers, emergency service workers, and

Port Authority personnel, along with all the innocent men and women who were victims of this tragedy simply because their work or service brought them here on September 11, 2001."

Gracious God, we recognize that you are the only way to true safety and peace. May our

suffering from the attacks of 9/11 awaken in us an awareness of the pain and fear that so many

people around the world live with each day. Give us your strength to face the memory of this attack and the changes it made in the life of this nation and the world. Give us your compassion to help one other and to respond faithfully to our Christian calling to be brothers and sisters united in love and working together to build your Kingdom.

Lord give peace to the United State of America and bless us with your presence and

assistance in everything we do. May this country praise you and serve and recognize that you are the only true God.

Holy Mother, Queen of Peace, give us the grace of your protection. Amen.
