The Letter to Hebrews gives us a treasure which defines faith: Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. We have found hope and joy in that which we cannot see because we are people of faith. We sing, "We walk by faith and not by sight."
But as we continue with the Gospel it is not only "Faith" that matters. We have to commit our lives and act accordingly with the faith we profess. When we believe, then as a consequence we share in the Eternal Life of God. We become the presence of God's action in this world; we embrace the mission to share the gospel of mercy and charity, and we become a real family in the Lord where there is no division, no discrimination, no rejection or hate, only love to receive and accept each other in our community as a dearly loved brother or sister. Remember every single action of mercy or love will be rewarded in heaven; these will be your saving Treasure.
Faith reveals that we long for God's Kingdom, and salvation becomes the supreme aspiration of our souls. The Kingdom of Heaven is our precious treasure, and we can not put in jeopardy the gift of eternity with God. It is not worth anything in this world to risk the salvation promised to those who are faithful. We cannot allow any worldly passing thing to take us away from the eternal gifts God promises us. Our eyes and heart are set in God's graces and we won’t rest until we are in the spirit and true contemplation of his glory. God is our Treasure and God is what we have in the center of our hearts.
May the Lord and the Blessed Mother bless you abundantly every day.
