Let Them Grow Together Until Harvest

One of the signs of God's mercy is that He has been so patient with us; He is giving us a time of "grace" to return to Him and consecrate our existence to His service and mission of the Gospel. The problem with this is that we are very stubborn and take for granted that we will have more time to do this, so we postpone our conversion and our faithfulness to the Gospel; there is always an "I will do it later." This "later" for many people never comes.
Jesus said in today's gospel, "Let them grow together until harvest," which gives us an opportunity to under-stand how precious time is, and how much He loves us, allowing us to accept His love in our lives so that we may be changed and saved. He shows us His mercy, not so we can continue committing sins or living a life without a real Christian commitment which will put off a response to our vocation, but to help us take advantage of His compas-sion and attend to His calling with earnestness and determination.
We do not know when the time of the harvest will come, so let us work for the Lord, offer what we have to Him, and He will do the rest. It is as the mustard seed that is sowed in a field, so small, but later becomes a great tree and the 'birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.” Do your part with fidelity and love, God will do the rest, and your Christian life will produce fruits of salvation.
May the Lord in His mercy give you the strength and the love required to work for His Kingdom and may He bless you abundantly. And may the Blessed Mother always protect you and your family.
