Sometimes we might forget that all sins can be forgiven by God, yes, all sins! Of course, there must be true repentance from the sinner. God’s mercy is limitless but we have to do our part; we need to repent and be sorry for our sins. So, like it or not, even the worst killer or terrorist can be forgiven if he repents. On the other hand, in today’s gospel Jesus talks about the unforgivable sin.
Whaaaaat? There is actually one sin without for-giveness! But don't get confused! This sin is precisely deliberately refusing God’s forgiveness; when we refuse God’s power to forgive us, this is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and final impenitence, and God can’t do anything about it. Let us ask God for his forgiveness and believe in it before it’s too late!
